Voting is compulsory for eligible enrolled Victorian voters.

Who can vote?
For a Victorian state election, the usual requirements are:
- Australian citizenship
- Age 18 or over when you vote
- More than a month living in Victoria.
Eligible voters must enrol and vote. At 17, you can apply ahead of your 18th birthday.
Some long-standing British-subject enrolments also qualify. The VEC explains these exceptions and options for special circumstances.
